INGREDIENTS
10 oz Lean Beef Steak (approx 283g)
1 cup Green Beans (approx 125g)
1 cup Cauliflower florets (approx 107g)
1 teaspoon Olive Oil (approx 5g)
1 clove Garlic
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Take the lean beef steak out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature while you prepare the vegetables.
Season the steak generously with salt and pepper.
Heat a non-stick skillet or cast iron pan over medium-high heat. Add half of the olive oil to the pan.
Sear the beef steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust the time based on your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest.
While the steak is resting, steam the green beans until they are tender-crisp, about 5-6 minutes.
For the garlic mashed cauliflower, steam the cauliflower florets along with the garlic clove until both are fork-tender, about 8-10 minutes.
Transfer the steamed cauliflower and garlic to a blender or use a hand masher. Add the remaining olive oil, and blend or mash until smooth. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Slice the rested steak against the grain. Serve the steak alongside the green beans and a generous scoop of garlic mashed cauliflower.
Enjoy your protein-rich, low-calorie dinner!
