Enjoy a succulent, pan-seared lean steak infused with the aromatic blend of garlic and fresh herbs, perfectly paired with roasted asparagus tossed in olive oil. This dish offers a delightful mix of savory flavors and crisp textures, making it an ideal meal for balanced dining.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Lean Top Sirloin Steak
1 cup Asparagus
1 tbsp Olive Oil
2 cloves Garlic
2 tbsp Fresh Herbs (Rosemary & Thyme)
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F for the asparagus.
Pat the steak dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and a portion of the fresh herbs.
Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat and add half the olive oil.
Once the oil is shimmered, add the steak to the pan. Sear for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting time as needed.
While the steak is cooking, trim the asparagus and toss with the remaining olive oil, minced garlic, a pinch of salt, and the remaining fresh herbs.
Spread the asparagus on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until tender and lightly browned.
Let the steak rest for a few minutes after searing before slicing, then serve alongside the roasted asparagus.
