The dish delivers a harmonious blend of textures and flavors, from the crisped skin of the salmon to the tender, flavorful greens and smooth mash, all seasoned lightly with salt and pepper.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Salmon Fillet
1 cup Green Beans
1 medium Sweet Potato
1 clove Garlic
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Season the salmon fillet with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 teaspoon of olive oil.
Place the salmon in the skillet skin-side down and sear for about 3-4 minutes until the skin becomes crisp. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until desired doneness.
While the salmon cooks, steam the green beans until tender-crisp, about 4-5 minutes. In a small pan, lightly sauté the minced garlic in a tiny bit of olive oil and toss it with the steamed green beans. Season with salt and pepper.
For the sweet potato mash, pierce the sweet potato with a fork and microwave until soft (or bake until tender). Scoop out the flesh and mash it until smooth, seasoning with salt and pepper.
Plate the salmon alongside a serving of garlic green beans and a portion of sweet potato mash. Serve immediately while warm.
