Enjoy a zesty, protein-packed dinner featuring lean, diced steak tossed in a bright lemon garlic sauce, served atop whole wheat linguine with a side of roasted broccoli. The blend of tangy citrus, aromatic garlic, and lightly charred broccoli creates a delightful balance of flavors and textures.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Lean Steak (diced)
1/2 cup Whole Wheat Linguine (cooked)
1 cup Broccoli
2 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 Lemon
1 Garlic clove
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 425°F for the broccoli.
In a bowl, toss the broccoli with 1 tsp olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and roast for 15-20 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
While the broccoli roasts, heat 1 tsp olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the diced steak, season with salt and pepper, and sear until browned and cooked to your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes.
During the last minute of cooking, add the minced garlic to the steak and sauté until fragrant.
In a small bowl, squeeze the juice from 1/2 a lemon over the steak. Stir to combine.
Toss the cooked whole wheat linguine into the pan with the steak and garlic. Mix well so that the pasta is coated in the lemon garlic seasoning.
Plate the linguine and steak mixture alongside the roasted broccoli. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed, and serve immediately.
