Savor a delightful combination of tender, pan-seared chicken breast paired with perfectly crisp Brussels sprouts, all glazed in a tangy balsamic reduction. This dish strikes a harmonious balance between lean protein and vibrant vegetables for a satisfying meal any time of the day.
INGREDIENTS
4 oz Chicken Breast
1 cup halved Brussels Sprouts (approx. 78g)
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
1 clove Garlic
Salt and Pepper to taste
Pinch Red Pepper Flakes
PREPARATION
Pat the chicken breast dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken breast and sear for about 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest.
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and halved Brussels sprouts. Sauté for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sprouts begin to crisp and develop some char.
Drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the Brussels sprouts along with a pinch of red pepper flakes, tossing to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the vinegar reduces slightly.
Slice the chicken breast and serve alongside the crispy Brussels sprouts.
