Savor a perfectly pan-seared sirloin steak infused with garlic and fresh herbs, paired with crispy roasted baby potatoes and tender roasted asparagus. This dish delivers a delightful medley of textures and vibrant flavors that are as nutritious as they are satisfying.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Sirloin Steak (~142g)
150g Baby Potatoes
100g Asparagus
2 teaspoons Olive Oil (~10g)
1 clove Garlic
1 sprig Fresh Thyme
1 sprig Fresh Rosemary
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Cut the baby potatoes in half and toss them with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet and roast for about 20-25 minutes until crispy, flipping once halfway through.
Meanwhile, trim the asparagus ends and lightly toss them with a small amount of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Place them on another baking sheet and roast in the oven for 10-12 minutes until tender.
Season the sirloin steak generously with salt and pepper. Mince the garlic and finely chop the thyme and rosemary.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time to your preferred doneness. In the last minute of cooking, add the minced garlic and herbs to the pan to infuse flavor into the steak.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice the steak against the grain.
Plate the slices of steak alongside a serving of crispy roasted potatoes and tender roasted asparagus. Enjoy your balanced, flavorful meal!
