Enjoy a delightful dinner featuring a perfectly seared salmon fillet paired with tender steamed green beans and a silky cauliflower mash. This dish balances rich, flaky salmon with vibrant vegetables, bringing a light yet satisfying flavor profile for a nourishing meal.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Salmon Fillet (approx. 170g)
1 cup Green Beans (125g)
1 cup Cauliflower (150g)
1 teaspoon Olive Oil (4.5g)
1 clove Garlic
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Season the salmon fillet with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add half the teaspoon of olive oil.
Place the salmon in the warm skillet, skin-side down if applicable, and sear for about 3-4 minutes until a golden crust forms.
Flip the salmon and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the fish is just cooked through.
Meanwhile, steam the green beans in a steamer or microwave with a splash of water for about 4-5 minutes until tender but still crisp.
For the cauliflower mash, steam the cauliflower florets with the garlic until very tender, about 8-10 minutes.
Transfer the steamed cauliflower and garlic to a blender or use a hand masher, drizzle with the remaining olive oil, and blend/mash until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Plate the seared salmon alongside the steamed green beans and a generous serving of cauliflower mash. Serve warm.
