Enjoy a perfectly balanced dinner featuring a richly seared salmon fillet paired with crisp steamed green beans and a silky cauliflower mash. The dish brings a harmony of flavors with a slight zest from lemon and garlic, making each bite both satisfying and nutritious.
INGREDIENTS
6.5 oz Salmon Fillet (≈184g)
1 cup Green Beans (≈125g)
1 cup Cauliflower (≈107g)
0.5 tablespoon Olive Oil (≈7.5g)
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice (≈15g)
1 Garlic Clove (≈3g)
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon fillet dry with a paper towel and drizzle with lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon skin-side down and sear for about 4 minutes per side, or until cooked through and lightly browned.
While the salmon cooks, steam the green beans in a steamer basket over boiling water for about 4-5 minutes until tender but still crisp.
For the cauliflower mash, steam the cauliflower florets until very tender (about 8-10 minutes). Transfer to a bowl along with the garlic, and drizzle with olive oil. Mash until smooth, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
Plate the seared salmon alongside the steamed green beans and a generous serving of cauliflower mash. Garnish with an extra squeeze of lemon if desired and serve warm.
