Flaky Teriyaki Glazed Salmon with Roasted Asparagus
Enjoy a balanced dinner featuring flaky salmon glazed with a homemade teriyaki sauce and paired with tender roasted asparagus. The sweet-savory glaze made with low-sodium soy sauce, a touch of honey, and a hint of sesame elevates the natural flavors of the salmon, while the asparagus is roasted to perfection, offering a crisp, fresh contrast.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Salmon Fillet
1 cup Asparagus
2 tbsp Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Sesame Oil
0.5 tbsp Sesame Seeds
1 tsp Fresh Ginger, Minced
1 clove Garlic, Minced
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a small bowl, combine the low-sodium soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced ginger, and minced garlic to form the teriyaki glaze.
Place the salmon fillet on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush a generous amount of the teriyaki glaze over the fillet, reserving a little for finishing.
Arrange the asparagus around the salmon. Drizzle a little extra glaze over the asparagus and season with a pinch of salt if desired.
Roast in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the asparagus is tender yet crisp.
About 2 minutes before finishing, sprinkle sesame seeds over the salmon and asparagus.
Remove the tray from the oven, drizzle the reserved glaze over the salmon, and serve immediately.
