INGREDIENTS
4 oz Lean Ground Turkey
1 oz Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese
1 Whole Wheat Burger Bun
1 medium Zucchini
0.5 tbsp Olive Oil
Seasonings (Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder)
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F.
In a bowl, season the lean ground turkey with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Form the mixture into a patty about 4 oz in weight.
Place the turkey patty onto a lightly greased baking sheet and bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes or until fully cooked through.
While the patty is baking, slice the zucchini into rounds and toss them in a small bowl with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Spread the seasoned zucchini slices on a separate baking sheet and roast them in the oven for about 12-15 minutes until tender and lightly browned.
A few minutes before the turkey burger is finished, add the mozzarella cheese on top of the patty and place it back in the oven until the cheese melts and becomes slightly crispy on the edges, roughly 2-3 minutes.
Toast the whole wheat bun if desired.
Assemble the burger by placing the turkey patty with melted mozzarella between the toasted bun halves and serve alongside a generous portion of roasted zucchini.
