Enjoy a beautifully balanced meal featuring a perfectly seared salmon fillet paired with vibrant steamed green beans and a creamy cauliflower mash. A drizzle of olive oil adds a rich finish to this nutritious dinner that harmonizes fresh flavors and satisfying textures.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Salmon Fillet
1 cup Green Beans
1 cup Cauliflower (mashed)
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon fillet dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
Once the oil is hot, sear the salmon fillet skin-side down for about 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon reaches your desired doneness.
While the salmon cooks, steam the green beans in a steamer basket over boiling water for about 4-5 minutes until tender but still crisp.
Prepare the cauliflower mash by lightly steaming cauliflower florets until soft, then mashing them with a fork. Season with a pinch of salt and a drizzle of lemon juice to enhance flavor.
Plate the seared salmon with a side of steamed green beans and a generous spoonful of cauliflower mash. Finish with an extra drizzle of lemon juice if desired.
