Seared Salmon with Steamed Green Beans and Cauliflower Mash
Enjoy a delightful plate of perfectly seared salmon accompanied by vibrant steamed green beans and silky cauliflower mash. The combination offers a balance of flavors: the rich, buttery salmon, the crisp freshness of the green beans, and the creamy, garlicky cauliflower mash make for a nourishing and satisfying dinner.
INGREDIENTS
6.5 oz Salmon Fillet
1 cup Green Beans
1 cup Cauliflower florets
1 tsp Olive Oil
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add half the olive oil. Once hot, add the salmon skin-side down and sear for about 3-4 minutes until a golden crust forms.
Flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium doneness. Adjust cooking time to your preference, then transfer to a plate and cover loosely with foil.
Meanwhile, steam the green beans in a steamer or a covered pan with a little water for about 4-5 minutes until tender but still crisp.
For the cauliflower mash, steam the cauliflower florets for about 8-10 minutes until very tender. Transfer the cauliflower to a bowl, add the remaining olive oil, a pinch of salt and pepper, and mash until smooth. Adjust seasonings as needed.
Plate the seared salmon alongside the steamed green beans and a generous scoop of cauliflower mash, and serve warm.
