Enjoy a balanced and flavorful dinner featuring a perfectly seared salmon fillet, accompanied by tender steamed broccoli and a creamy herb-infused cauliflower mash. This dish offers a wonderful combination of textures and aromas with fresh herbs highlighting the natural flavors of the vegetables and salmon.
INGREDIENTS
7 ounces Salmon Fillet
1 cup steamed Broccoli
1 cup Cauliflower (for mash)
0.5 tablespoon Olive Oil
2 tablespoon Mixed Fresh Herbs
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until a golden crust forms and the salmon is cooked through.
Meanwhile, steam the broccoli florets in a steamer or a saucepan with a little water for about 5 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
For the herb-cauliflower mash, steam or boil the cauliflower florets until very soft, about 8-10 minutes. Drain well.
Place the softened cauliflower in a food processor along with olive oil, fresh herbs, salt, and pepper. Process until smooth and creamy.
Plate the seared salmon alongside the steamed broccoli and a generous serving of herb-cauliflower mash. Serve immediately.
