Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, chili powder, lime juice, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
Coat the chicken breast evenly in the marinade. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Peel and cube the sweet potato into bite-sized pieces. Toss with a light drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Spread the sweet potato cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer.
Place the marinated chicken breast on a separate section of the baking sheet or in an oven-safe dish.
Roast everything in the oven. Bake the sweet potatoes for about 25-30 minutes until tender and slightly crispy, and bake the chicken for around 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
For extra crispiness on the chicken, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end, watching closely to avoid burning.
Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, and serve together, enjoying the balance of tender, zesty chicken with the naturally sweet, roasted potatoes.
