Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Wash the asparagus and sweet potato. Peel and dice the sweet potato into small cubes for extra crispiness.
Place diced sweet potatoes on a baking sheet, drizzle with a little olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Roast in the oven for about 20-25 minutes until tender and slightly crispy on the edges.
While the sweet potatoes roast, season the 4 oz sirloin steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the remaining olive oil. Once hot, place the steak in the skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust the time to your preferred doneness.
In the last 10 minutes of steak cooking, add the asparagus to the skillet or on a separate pan, tossing gently in a bit of olive oil, salt, and pepper, then sauté or roast until tender yet crisp.
Once all components are cooked, slice the steak against the grain and serve alongside the roasted asparagus and crispy sweet potatoes.
Enjoy your balanced, flavorful meal!
