Pan-Seared Sirloin Steak with Crispy Roasted Broccoli and Sweet Potato Wedges
Enjoy a hearty and balanced meal featuring a juicy pan-seared sirloin steak accompanied by crispy roasted broccoli and sweet potato wedges. The steak is perfectly seasoned and seared to lock in flavor, while the vegetables are roasted to bring out their natural sweetness and crunch, resulting in a satisfying plate that's both delicious and well-rounded.
INGREDIENTS
4 oz Sirloin Steak
1 cup Broccoli
1 medium Sweet Potato (halved, approx. 100g)
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper (to taste)
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F.
Prepare the sweet potato by slicing it into wedges. Toss the wedges in half of the olive oil, salt, and pepper, and place them on a baking sheet.
On another baking sheet, spread the broccoli florets and drizzle with the remaining olive oil, then season with salt and pepper.
Place both baking sheets in the oven. Roast the sweet potato wedges for about 25-30 minutes until tender and crispy, and roast the broccoli for about 15-20 minutes until the edges are crispy.
While the vegetables are roasting, season the sirloin steak generously with salt and pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the sirloin steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time as preferred.
Let the steak rest for a couple of minutes before slicing.
Plate the sliced steak with the crispy roasted broccoli and sweet potato wedges. Serve immediately and enjoy!
