INGREDIENTS
4 oz Lean Steak
3 leaves Romaine Lettuce
1/2 medium Red Bell Pepper
1/2 small Onion
1 slice Provolone Cheese (1 oz)
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt & Black Pepper to taste
Pinch of Garlic Powder
PREPARATION
Thinly slice the lean steak against the grain to ensure tenderness.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced steak and season with salt, black pepper, and a pinch of garlic powder. Sauté until the steak is cooked to your preferred doneness, about 3-4 minutes per side for medium rare.
Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside to rest.
In the same skillet, add the sliced red bell pepper and onion. Sauté the vegetables until they are tender and slightly charred, about 4-5 minutes. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
While the vegetables are cooking, prepare 3 crisp leaves of romaine lettuce on a plate.
Layer the rested steak slices onto the lettuce leaves, then top with the sautéed peppers and onions.
Add the slice of provolone cheese on top of the warm contents to allow it to soften slightly.
Fold the lettuce around the filling and serve immediately.
