INGREDIENTS
600 grams Lean Ground Beef (90% lean)
2 cans Canned Kidney Beans (drained, approx. 480g total)
1 can Diced Tomatoes (no salt added, approx. 411g)
1 medium Bell Pepper, diced (150g)
1 medium Onion, diced (110g)
3 cloves Garlic, minced (9g)
1 cup Low Sodium Beef Broth (240ml)
2 teaspoons Chili Powder
1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Brown the lean ground beef in a pan over medium heat until it’s fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
Place the cooked ground beef into the slow cooker.
Add the drained kidney beans, diced tomatoes (with their juices), diced bell pepper, diced onion, and minced garlic to the slow cooker.
Pour in the low sodium beef broth and sprinkle the chili powder and ground cumin over the mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Stir all the ingredients together to combine evenly.
Set the slow cooker on low and cook for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, allowing the flavors to meld and the chili to thicken.
Taste and adjust seasonings before serving. Enjoy your hearty beef chili!
