Seared Turkey Breast with Garlic Green Beans and Mashed Sweet Potato
Savor a balanced dinner featuring perfectly seared turkey breast, tossed garlic green beans, and creamy mashed sweet potato. The turkey is seared to lock in juices and flavor, while the green beans, lightly sautéed with garlic and olive oil, add crunch and freshness. The mashed sweet potato, enriched with a touch of butter, adds a naturally sweet and comforting finish to the plate.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Turkey Breast (142g)
1 cup Green Beans (125g)
1 small Sweet Potato (130g)
1 tsp Olive Oil (5g)
1 tsp Butter (5g)
2 cloves Garlic (approx. 6g)
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat with the olive oil.
Season the turkey breast with salt and pepper on both sides.
Sear the turkey breast in the skillet for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and let it rest.
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, then add the green beans. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the beans are just tender but still crisp. Season with a pinch of salt.
Meanwhile, peel and cube the sweet potato. Boil in a pot of water until tender, about 10-12 minutes. Drain well.
Mash the sweet potato with butter, and season with a little salt and pepper to taste until smooth.
Plate the sliced turkey breast alongside a serving of garlic green beans and a generous scoop of mashed sweet potato. Enjoy your balanced and flavorful dinner.
