INGREDIENTS
4 pieces Chicken Wings (∼150g)
2 tbsp Tomato Paste
1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Smoked Paprika
1 tsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicon mat.
In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Toss them in the spice mix until evenly coated.
Arrange the wings on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, turning halfway through for even crispiness.
While the wings are baking, prepare the BBQ sauce by combining tomato paste, apple cider vinegar, honey, and a pinch of smoked paprika and chili powder in a bowl. Stir until smooth.
Remove the wings from the oven when nearly done and brush them generously with the homemade BBQ sauce.
Return the wings to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to allow the sauce to set and slightly caramelize.
Once finished, remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
