Savor a beautifully seared steak enhanced by a garlicky butter finish paired with crispy roasted potatoes. Juicy and flavorful, this dish offers a delightful balance between tender meat and crunchy comfort, perfect for a satisfying dinner.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Sirloin Steak
1 cup Baby Potatoes (approximately 150g)
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 tbsp Butter
2 cloves Garlic
2 sprigs Fresh Rosemary
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the baby potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and rosemary, then spread them out on a baking sheet.
Roast the potatoes in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until crispy and golden, turning once halfway through.
Meanwhile, pat the sirloin steak dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a heavy skillet (preferably cast iron) over medium-high heat. When hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on one side until a brown crust forms.
Flip the steak and add butter along with minced garlic. Cook an additional 3-4 minutes, spooning the melted garlic butter over the steak, until it reaches your desired doneness.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes to lock in the juices.
Plate the steak alongside the crispy roasted potatoes and drizzle any remaining garlic butter from the pan over the top.
