Crispy Pork Chops with Warm Peach Chutney
Savor a perfectly crisped pork chop paired with a vibrant, warm peach chutney. The succulent pork is seasoned and pan-seared to a golden finish, while the slightly sweet, tangy chutney bursts with fresh peach and red onion, accented with a hint of ginger and honey.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Pork Chop (~170g)
1 medium Peach (~150g)
1/4 unit Red Onion (~25g)
1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar (~15g)
1 tsp Olive Oil (~5g)
1 tsp Fresh Ginger, grated (~2g)
1 tsp Honey (~7g)
Salt and Black Pepper (to taste)
PREPARATION
Pat the pork chop dry and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
Once the oil is hot, place the pork chop in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until crispy and cooked through. Remove from pan and let rest.
In the same skillet, add the finely chopped red onion and grated ginger. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until softened and fragrant.
Dice the peach and add it to the skillet along with the apple cider vinegar and honey. Cook on medium heat for 3-4 minutes until the peaches soften and the flavors meld to create a warm chutney.
Taste the chutney and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
Plate the crispy pork chop and spoon the warm peach chutney over the top. Serve immediately.
