Enjoy succulent, crispy chicken legs bursting with zesty lemon and aromatic herbs. The combination of tender, baked chicken with a bright citrus marinade, infused with garlic, rosemary, and thyme creates a delightful contrast of juicy meat and flavorful crisp skin, perfect for a balanced and satisfying meal.
INGREDIENTS
1 piece Chicken Leg (bone-in, skin-on) (~200g)
1 teaspoon Olive Oil
2 tablespoons Lemon Juice
1 Garlic Clove
1 sprig Fresh Rosemary
1 sprig Fresh Thyme
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Black Pepper
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and finely chopped rosemary and thyme. Add a pinch of salt and black pepper to taste.
Pat the chicken leg dry with a paper towel. Rub the lemon herb mixture evenly over the chicken, making sure to get under the skin for extra flavor and crispiness.
Place the chicken leg on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
