INGREDIENTS
110g Lean Ground Beef (93% lean)
1/2 cup Kidney Beans, canned, rinsed (~130g)
1/2 cup Diced Tomatoes (~90g)
1/2 cup Chopped Bell Pepper (~75g)
1/4 cup Chopped Onion (~40g)
1 clove Garlic, minced
1/2 cup Low Sodium Beef Broth (~120g)
1 tsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Ground Cumin
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the lean ground beef. Lightly brown the beef until it’s mostly cooked, breaking it up as it cooks.
Transfer the beef into the slow cooker.
Add the kidney beans, diced tomatoes, chopped bell pepper, chopped onion, minced garlic, and beef broth to the slow cooker.
Sprinkle in the chili powder and ground cumin, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Stir all the ingredients together and cover with the slow cooker lid.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, allowing all the flavors to meld together.
Once cooked, give the chili a good stir and adjust seasonings if necessary before serving.
