Garlic Herb Pan-Seared Steak with Crispy Roasted Asparagus
Savor a perfectly pan-seared lean sirloin steak enhanced with aromatic garlic and fresh herbs, paired with crisp roasted asparagus. The combination delivers a balanced, flavorful dish with juicy meat and tender, lightly charred greens that’s both satisfying and clean.
INGREDIENTS
1 x 6 oz Lean Sirloin Steak
1 cup chopped Asparagus
0.5 tbsp Olive Oil
1 clove Garlic
1 sprig Fresh Rosemary
1 sprig Fresh Thyme
PREPARATION
Pat the steak dry and season lightly with salt and pepper if desired.
Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add half of the olive oil to the pan.
Once the oil is shimmering, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time to your preferred doneness.
While the steak is cooking, preheat the oven to 425°F. Toss the chopped asparagus with the remaining olive oil, minced garlic, and roughly chopped rosemary and thyme.
Spread the asparagus on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for about 10-12 minutes until tender and slightly crispy.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes before slicing.
Plate a portion of the pan-seared steak alongside the crispy roasted asparagus, and garnish with extra fresh herbs if desired.
