Savor the rich flavors of a perfectly pan-seared steak accented with garlic and fresh herbs, complemented by golden roasted potatoes and tender asparagus. This dish brings a delightful balance of protein and vibrant vegetables for a satisfying meal.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Sirloin Steak
100 g Baby Potatoes
90 g Asparagus
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 clove Garlic
1 tbsp Fresh Herbs (Rosemary & Thyme)
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F. In a bowl, toss the baby potatoes with half the olive oil, salt, pepper, and some of the chopped fresh herbs.
Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are fork-tender and lightly browned.
Meanwhile, pat the steak dry with a paper towel. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and the remaining herbs.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté briefly until fragrant.
Place the steak in the skillet and sear for approximately 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust time to your preferred doneness.
While the steak rests for a few minutes, quickly blanch or lightly sauté the asparagus with a pinch of salt in the same skillet until tender-crisp.
Plate the steak with the roasted potatoes on the side and arrange the asparagus alongside. Serve immediately and enjoy!
