Pan-Seared Garlic Herb Steak with Crispy Roasted Broccoli
Enjoy a savory and satisfying dish featuring a perfectly pan-seared lean sirloin steak infused with garlic and fresh herbs, paired with crispy roasted broccoli for a nutritious and delicious dinner.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Lean Sirloin Steak (~170g)
2 cups Broccoli Florets (~156g)
2 cloves Garlic
2 tbsp Fresh Mixed Herbs (Rosemary & Thyme)
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F for roasting the broccoli.
Toss the broccoli florets with half a teaspoon of olive oil, a pinch of salt, and a bit of black pepper, then spread them evenly on a baking sheet.
Roast the broccoli in the oven for 15-20 minutes until crispy and slightly charred on the edges, stirring halfway through.
While the broccoli roasts, pat the 6 oz sirloin steak dry with paper towels.
Season both sides of the steak generously with salt, black pepper, minced garlic (from the 2 cloves), and chopped fresh herbs.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat with a light spray of olive oil.
Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time to your preferred doneness.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Plate the steak alongside the crispy roasted broccoli and serve immediately.
