Seared Salmon Fillet with Steamed Green Beans and Brown Rice
Savor the taste of a perfectly seared salmon fillet paired with crisp steamed green beans and a serving of nutty brown rice. This dish delivers a delightful balance of textures and flavors—from the delicate, flaky fish to the tender, bright green beans and the wholesome, satisfying rice. A drizzle of olive oil enhances the rich flavors without overpowering the natural freshness of the ingredients.
INGREDIENTS
5.5 oz Salmon Fillet (156g)
1 cup Green Beans (125g)
0.5 cup cooked Brown Rice (100g)
0.5 tsp Olive Oil (2.3g)
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon dry and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add 0.5 teaspoon of olive oil.
Once the oil is shimmering, place the salmon fillet in the skillet, skin-side down if applicable. Sear for about 3-4 minutes, then flip carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes, until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
While the salmon cooks, steam the green beans until tender-crisp, about 4-5 minutes.
Reheat or prepare the brown rice as per package instructions if not already cooked.
Plate the seared salmon alongside the steamed green beans and brown rice. Optionally, adjust seasoning with an extra light drizzle of olive oil or a squeeze of lemon for added brightness.
