Enjoy a light yet nourishing dinner featuring a perfectly seared salmon paired with tender steamed asparagus and a creamy cauliflower mash, finished with a hint of olive oil. The dish brings vibrant flavors and a satisfying texture combination in every bite.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Salmon Fillet (142g)
90g Asparagus Spears
1 cup Cauliflower (100g)
1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil (5g)
0.5 tsp Garlic Powder
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon fillet dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
Place the salmon skin-side down (if applicable) and sear for about 3-4 minutes until the salmon develops a golden crust.
Flip the salmon carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the fish is just cooked through.
Meanwhile, steam the asparagus in a steamer until tender yet crisp, approximately 4-5 minutes.
For the cauliflower mash, steam or boil the cauliflower until very tender. Drain and mash lightly with a fork or potato masher, seasoning with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Plate the seared salmon alongside the steamed asparagus and a serving of cauliflower mash. Serve immediately.
