Crispy Sweet Potato Gnocchi with Pan-Seared Chicken, Fresh Spinach, and Sage Brown Butter
Savor the delightful balance of flavors in this dish, featuring tender, pan-seared chicken breast accompanied by crispy sweet potato gnocchi. Fresh spinach adds a vibrant touch, while a rich sage-infused brown butter sauce elevates the dish to new heights.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Chicken Breast
1 serving Sweet Potato Gnocchi (approx 120g)
1 cup Fresh Spinach
1 tbsp Unsalted Butter
1 tbsp Fresh Sage
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the chicken breast dry and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 5-6 minutes per side until fully cooked and nicely browned. Remove from pan and let rest.
Meanwhile, in a pot of boiling salted water, cook the sweet potato gnocchi until they float to the top, about 2-3 minutes. Drain well.
In the same pan used for the chicken, reduce the heat to medium. Add the unsalted butter and allow it to melt and bubble. Add the fresh sage and let the butter continue to brown slightly, releasing a nutty aroma (be careful not to burn the butter).
Add the cooked gnocchi to the pan and sauté until they become crispy on the edges, about 2-3 minutes.
Stir in the fresh spinach and cook just until wilted, about 1 minute.
Slice the rested chicken breast and arrange it atop the gnocchi and spinach. Drizzle the sage brown butter evenly over the dish.
Serve immediately and enjoy the perfectly balanced flavors.
