Preheat your oven to 425°F for roasting the broccoli.
In a bowl, toss the broccoli with 1 teaspoon of olive oil, a pinch of salt, and pepper. Spread it out on a baking sheet.
Roast the broccoli in the oven for about 15-18 minutes, stirring halfway through, until tender and lightly crispy.
While the broccoli roasts, season the chicken breast with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat the remaining teaspoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken to the skillet and sear for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
In the last minute of cooking, add the minced garlic and lemon juice to the pan, spooning the mixture over the chicken to infuse flavor.
Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
Plate the chicken alongside the roasted broccoli and drizzle any remaining pan juices over the top.
