Enjoy a beautifully balanced dinner featuring a perfectly seared salmon fillet paired with garlicky green beans and a silky sweet potato mash. This dish offers succulent, tender salmon with a crisp sear, complemented by fresh, lightly sautéed green beans and a smooth, naturally sweet mash, drizzled with a hint of olive oil for an extra layer of flavor.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Salmon Fillet
100g Sweet Potato
100g Green Beans
2 tsp Olive Oil
1 clove Garlic
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Season the salmon fillet with salt and pepper on both sides.
Drizzle 1 tsp of olive oil in the skillet and place the salmon skin-side down. Sear for about 3-4 minutes until a crust forms, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
While the salmon cooks, peel (if desired), dice, and steam the sweet potato until tender (about 10 minutes). Once cooked, mash the sweet potato until smooth. Season lightly with salt and a few drops of olive oil if desired.
In a small pan, heat the remaining 1 tsp olive oil over medium heat. Add a minced garlic clove and sauté for about 30 seconds to release flavor. Add the green beans and sauté for about 4-5 minutes until they are tender-crisp. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
Plate the sweet potato mash, place the seared salmon on top or beside it, and serve the garlic green beans on the side.
