Savor a perfectly pan-seared sirloin steak infused with garlic and fragrant herbs, paired with crispy roasted Brussels sprouts that offer a delightful crunch. This dish strikes a harmonious balance between heartiness and freshness, ideal for a nourishing and satisfying dinner.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Sirloin Steak
1 cup Brussels Sprouts (halved)
1 tsp Olive Oil
2 cloves Garlic
2 sprigs Fresh Thyme
1 sprig Fresh Rosemary
Pinch Salt
Pinch Black Pepper
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F for roasting the Brussels sprouts.
Toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, a pinch of salt, and pepper on a baking sheet. Roast in the oven for about 18-20 minutes until crispy and tender, stirring halfway through.
While the sprouts are roasting, take the sirloin steak out of the fridge to come to room temperature for even cooking. Pat the steak dry and season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust time depending on desired doneness).
In the last minute of cooking, add the garlic cloves (lightly crushed), fresh thyme, and rosemary to the pan, spooning the infused oil over the steak.
Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Plate the steak alongside the crispy roasted Brussels sprouts and drizzle any remaining herb-garlic oil from the pan over the top. Serve immediately.
