Crispy Beer-Battered Fish and Chips
Air-fried cod fillets dipped in a light beer batter and served with golden potato wedges that offer a satisfying, audible crunch.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Cod fillet
1 medium Russet potato
2 tbsp All-purpose flour
1 tbsp Cornstarch
0.25 cup Light beer
0.5 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.25 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Avocado oil
PREPARATION
Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
Slice the potato into 1/2-inch thick wedges and toss with 0.5 tsp of the avocado oil and a small portion of the sea salt.
Air fry potatoes for 18 minutes until golden, shaking the basket halfway through.
In a small bowl, whisk flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, black pepper, and the remaining sea salt.
Gradually stir in the light beer until the batter is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
Pat the cod dry, dip into the batter, and place on a small piece of parchment paper inside the air fryer basket.
Lightly brush or mist the top of the fish with the remaining 0.5 tsp avocado oil.
Air fry the fish at 375°F for 10 minutes until the exterior is beautifully crisp and the fish is opaque.
