Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a small baking dish with parchment paper.
In a small skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until softened and fragrant.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, almond flour, sautéed onion and garlic, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper.
Mix gently by hand until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Form the mixture into a compact rectangular loaf and place it in the prepared baking dish.
Drape the bacon slices over the top of the loaf, tucking the ends slightly underneath.
Brush the top and sides of the loaf generously with the sugar-free BBQ sauce.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the bacon is rendered.
Let the meatloaf rest for 5 minutes before slicing to ensure it stays juicy.
