Crispy Ground Beef and Potato Hash
Skillet-seared ground beef and golden potatoes tossed with vibrant bell peppers and onions for a savory, crispy meal that satisfies any time of day.
INGREDIENTS
8 oz 93% Lean ground beef
0.75 cup Yukon Gold potato
0.25 cup Red bell pepper
0.25 cup Yellow onion
1 tsp Avocado oil
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.25 tsp Garlic powder
0.25 tsp Smoked paprika
1 tbsp Fresh parsley
PREPARATION
Dice the Yukon Gold potato into small 1/2-inch cubes to ensure they cook quickly and develop a uniform crust.
Heat the avocado oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Add the diced potatoes to the skillet in a single layer and cook undisturbed for 5 minutes, then toss and cook for another 4-5 minutes until golden and tender.
Push the potatoes to the outer edges of the pan and add the ground beef to the center, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon.
Cook the beef until browned and mostly cooked through, then add the diced red bell pepper and yellow onion to the pan.
Sauté the entire mixture together for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are softened and the beef is fully cooked.
Sprinkle the sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika over the hash and toss thoroughly to coat.
Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
