Seared Beef Strips with Garlic Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes
Pan-seared lean beef strips served with garlicky green beans and fluffy mashed potatoes, finished with a touch of creamy butter.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Beef Top Sirloin strips
150g White Potato, cubed
100g Fresh Green Beans
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Unsalted Butter
1 clove Garlic, minced
1 tbsp Skim Milk
PREPARATION
Place the cubed potatoes in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil; cook for 12-15 minutes until tender.
While potatoes are cooking, season the beef strips with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the beef strips for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired level.
Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside to rest.
In the same skillet, add the green beans and minced garlic with a splash of water; cover and steam for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot.
Mash the potatoes with the butter and skim milk until smooth and fluffy.
Serve the seared beef strips alongside the garlic green beans and mashed potatoes.
