Caramelized Char Siu Pork with Crispy Noodles
Sautéed pork tenderloin glazed in a sticky five-spice sauce served over crispy pan-fried noodles and vibrant bok choy for a satisfying crunch.
INGREDIENTS
8 oz Pork tenderloin
1 oz Brown rice noodles
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Honey
0.5 tsp Chinese five spice powder
1 tsp Sesame oil
0.5 tbsp Avocado oil
1 cup Baby bok choy
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Cook the brown rice noodles in boiling water until tender, drain, and pat them very dry to ensure they crisp up in the pan.
In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, honey, five spice powder, minced ginger, and minced garlic to create the char siu glaze.
Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the pork slices until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove the pork from the skillet and set aside, then add the sesame oil and the dried noodles to the same pan.
Press the noodles down with a spatula and cook for 3 minutes until a golden, crispy crust forms on the bottom.
Add the bok choy and pork back into the skillet, pour the glaze over everything, and toss for 2 minutes until the sauce is thick and caramelized.
