Seared Turkey Breast with Roasted Asparagus
Pan-seared turkey breast seasoned with garlic and herbs, paired with lemon-zested roasted asparagus for a bright, tender finish.
INGREDIENTS
6 ounces Turkey Breast (boneless, skinless)
150 grams Asparagus spears (woody ends trimmed)
2 teaspoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 clove Garlic (minced)
1 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
Pinch of Dried Thyme
Sea salt and black pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place the trimmed asparagus on a baking sheet, drizzle with 1 teaspoon of olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
Roast the asparagus for 12-15 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
While the asparagus roasts, season the turkey breast with dried thyme, salt, pepper, and the minced garlic.
Heat the remaining teaspoon of olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Place the turkey breast in the skillet and sear for 5-7 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Remove the turkey from the heat and let it rest for 3-5 minutes to keep the juices locked in.
Slice the turkey breast and serve alongside the roasted asparagus, finishing the dish with a fresh squeeze of lemon juice.
