INGREDIENTS
1.5 scoops vanilla whey protein powder
0.25 cup quick-cooking oats
2 whole medjool dates
1 tbsp hemp seeds
0.25 tsp ground turmeric
0.25 tsp ground cinnamon
0.13 tsp sea salt
0.13 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp water
PREPARATION
Remove the pits from the Medjool dates and roughly chop them into smaller pieces.
Place the quick-cooking oats and chopped dates into a food processor and pulse until the mixture resembles a coarse, sticky crumb.
Add the vanilla whey protein powder, hemp seeds, ground turmeric, ground cinnamon, sea salt, and black pepper to the processor.
Pulse several times to evenly distribute the spices and protein powder throughout the oat and date mixture.
Add 1 tablespoon of water and process on high until the mixture begins to clump together into a cohesive dough.
If the mixture is too crumbly to hold its shape, add additional water 1 teaspoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
Scoop the dough into 4 or 5 equal portions and roll them between your palms to form smooth, round bites.
