INGREDIENTS
6 oz Top sirloin steak
1.5 oz Whole wheat spaghetti
0.5 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves Garlic
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
1 tbsp Fresh parsley
0.5 tbsp Lemon juice
0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes
PREPARATION
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package directions until al dente.
Season the steak on both sides with sea salt and black pepper.
Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and add half of the olive oil.
Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, then remove from the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes.
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the remaining olive oil, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes.
Sauté the garlic for 1 minute until fragrant but not browned, then stir in the lemon juice.
Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet with the garlic oil and fresh parsley until well coated.
Slice the steak against the grain and serve it over the zesty garlic spaghetti.
