75g Sourdough bread, cubed
1 Large egg
1/4 cup Liquid egg whites
25g Chocolate whey protein powder
1 tbsp Unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup Unsweetened almond milk
1/4 cup Brewed coffee
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a small individual baking dish.
Cut the sourdough bread into 1-inch cubes and place them into the prepared baking dish.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the whole egg, egg whites, chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, almond milk, and brewed coffee until the mixture is smooth and the powder is fully dissolved.
Pour the chocolate custard mixture over the sourdough cubes, using a spoon to press the bread down so every piece is fully submerged and soaking up the liquid.
Let the mixture sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the sourdough to absorb the flavors.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top of the bread has become slightly firm and toasted.
