Golden Pan-Seared Salmon with Roasted Broccoli
Pan-seared salmon fillets with a crispy golden crust served alongside tender-crisp roasted broccoli florets finished with a zesty squeeze of lemon.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Salmon fillet
1.5 cup Broccoli florets
1 tbsp Olive oil
0.5 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.25 tsp Garlic powder
1 tbsp Lemon juice
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Toss the broccoli florets on the baking sheet with half of the olive oil, half of the sea salt, and all of the garlic powder.
Roast the broccoli for 15 to 20 minutes until the edges are golden and tender.
While the broccoli roasts, pat the salmon dry with a paper towel and season both sides with the remaining sea salt and the black pepper.
Heat the remaining olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Carefully place the salmon in the hot pan and sear for 4 to 5 minutes until a beautiful golden crust has formed.
Flip the fillet and continue cooking for 3 to 4 more minutes until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
Plate the salmon next to the roasted broccoli and finish the dish with a bright squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
