Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a small baking dish or loaf pan with parchment paper.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, almond flour, finely diced onion, minced garlic, sea salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
Mix the ingredients gently with your hands until just combined, taking care not to overwork the meat to keep the texture light.
Shape the mixture into a uniform rectangular loaf and place it in the prepared baking dish.
Lay the bacon slices across the top of the meatloaf, tucking the ends underneath the loaf for a clean look.
Brush 1 tablespoon of the sugar-free BBQ sauce evenly over the top of the bacon.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 160°F.
During the last 5 minutes of baking, brush the remaining tablespoon of BBQ sauce over the top to create a sticky glaze.
Remove from the oven and let the meatloaf rest for 5 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
