Golden Pan-Seared Pork Chops with Apples
Pan-seared pork loin chops served with caramelized apples and fresh greens, finished with a bright splash of apple cider vinegar.
INGREDIENTS
8 oz boneless pork loin chops
0.5 medium honeycrisp apple
1 tsp avocado oil
1 cup fresh baby spinach
0.25 tsp sea salt
0.25 tsp black pepper
0.25 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp water
PREPARATION
Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel and season both sides with sea salt and black pepper.
Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Place the pork chops in the pan and sear for 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove the pork from the skillet and set aside on a plate to rest.
In the same skillet, add the sliced apples, ground cinnamon, and water, stirring to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
Sauté the apples for 3 minutes until tender and caramelized, then stir in the apple cider vinegar.
Place the fresh baby spinach on a plate and top with the rested pork chops and the warm apple mixture.
