Crispy Pan-Seared Pork Dumplings
Pan-seared pork and shrimp dumplings cooked until golden and crispy, then steamed to perfection for a succulent and juicy bite.
INGREDIENTS
2 oz Ground pork
4 oz Shrimp
3 whole Dumpling wrappers
0.5 cup Green cabbage
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
1 tbsp Coconut aminos
0.5 tsp Toasted sesame oil
0.5 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.5 tsp Avocado oil
2 tbsp Water
1 tbsp Green onions
PREPARATION
In a medium bowl, combine the ground pork, minced shrimp, shredded cabbage, ginger, garlic, coconut aminos, sesame oil, sea salt, and black pepper.
Place approximately one tablespoon of the filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
Lightly moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold in half, and pleat the edges to seal tightly.
Heat the avocado oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Arrange the dumplings in the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown and crispy.
Carefully pour the water into the pan and immediately cover with a tight-fitting lid to steam for 5 minutes.
Remove the lid and continue cooking for 1-2 minutes until the remaining water evaporates and the bottoms are re-crisped.
Transfer to a plate and garnish with fresh green onions before serving.
