Golden Pan-Seared Salmon with Zesty Asparagus
Pan-seared salmon fillets served with crisp-tender asparagus and a bright lemon-garlic finish for a vibrant and nourishing meal.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Salmon fillet
1 cup Asparagus spears
0.5 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
1 clove Garlic
1 tbsp Lemon juice
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.25 tsp Smoked paprika
1 tsp Lemon zest
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon fillet dry with a paper towel and season both sides evenly with sea salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Carefully place the salmon in the pan skin-side down and sear for 4-5 minutes until the skin is golden and crispy.
Flip the fillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the salmon is just cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside on a plate to rest.
In the same skillet, add the asparagus spears and minced garlic, sautéing for 3-5 minutes until the asparagus is bright green and tender-crisp.
Turn off the heat and stir in the lemon juice and lemon zest to coat the asparagus.
Plate the salmon alongside the zesty asparagus and serve immediately.
