Tender Smoky BBQ Baby Back Ribs
Slow-roasted baby back ribs rubbed with smoky spices and glazed in a tangy sugar-free sauce, served alongside crisp-tender green beans for a satisfying finish.
INGREDIENTS
12 oz baby back pork ribs
1 tsp smoked paprika
0.5 tsp garlic powder
0.5 tsp onion powder
0.25 tsp sea salt
0.25 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp sugar-free BBQ sauce
1 cup fresh green beans
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with heavy-duty aluminum foil.
In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper to create a dry rub.
Pat the ribs dry with a paper towel and remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs if necessary. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
Wrap the ribs tightly in the foil, ensuring the seam is on top to prevent juices from leaking, and bake for 2.5 hours until the meat is tender.
Carefully open the foil and brush the top of the ribs with the sugar-free BBQ sauce. Turn the oven to broil and cook for 3-5 minutes until the sauce is bubbly and slightly charred.
While the ribs rest, trim the ends of the green beans and sauté them in a skillet with the olive oil over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender.
Slice the ribs between the bones and serve immediately alongside the sautéed green beans.
