Crispy Sesame Tofu Stir-Fry
Pan-seared extra firm tofu cubes tossed with vibrant broccoli and edamame in a savory sesame-ginger glaze that offers a satisfying crunch.
INGREDIENTS
12 oz Extra firm tofu
0.75 cup Shelled edamame
1 cup Broccoli florets
1 tsp Sesame oil
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Rice vinegar
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes
1 tsp Sesame seeds
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
In a small bowl, whisk together tamari, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes.
Heat sesame oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Add tofu cubes to the skillet and sear for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
Add broccoli florets and shelled edamame to the pan with a splash of water; cover and steam for 3 minutes.
Remove the lid, pour the sauce over the tofu and vegetables, and toss for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything.
Season with sea salt and black pepper, then garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
