Tender Sesame Beef & Broccoli Stir-Fry
Sautéed flank steak strips and crisp broccoli florets tossed in a savory ginger-sesame glaze for a vibrant and nourishing meal.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Flank steak
2 cup Broccoli florets
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Arrowroot powder
0.25 cup Cooked brown rice
0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes
1 tsp Sesame seeds
1 tbsp Water
PREPARATION
Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin, 2-inch long strips for maximum tenderness.
In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, arrowroot powder, and water until the mixture is smooth.
Heat the toasted sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Add the beef strips in a single layer and sear for 2 minutes until browned, then remove the beef and set it aside.
Add the broccoli florets and red pepper flakes to the same skillet with a splash of water, covering for 2 minutes to steam-soften the florets.
Return the beef to the skillet and pour the sauce over the mixture, tossing constantly for 1 minute until the glaze is thick and glossy.
Serve the stir-fry immediately over the warm cooked brown rice and garnish with sesame seeds.
